Bible: Understanding the Basics of God’s Word
This one-week course will survey biblical history as well as the general
organization of God’s Word.

102 – Introduction to the Old
Testament: This three-week course
will take a deeper look at the books of the Old Testament during the first week
and the major characters of the Old Testament during the second week. The third
week will connect the Old Testament to the New Testament.

103 – Introduction to the New
Testament: This two-week course will
take a deeper look at the books of the New Testament and the times in which they
were written during the first week and the major characters of the new Testament

Prayer This is a two-week course
that serves as an introduction to the spiritual discipline of prayer. [NOTE:
Serves as prerequisite course to 206 – 208 courses]

203 – The Prayer Life of Jesus
This two-week survey course of the gospels will uncover the prayer principles of
Jesus’ life and teachings.

204 – Prayer in the Old
Testament This survey course will
consider prayer principles found in the Old Testament.

205 – Prayer in the New
Testament This survey course will
consider prayer principles found in the non-gospel books of the New Testament.

206 – Prayer and the Silence of
God This one week course considers
the roadblocks and impediments to prayer Christians often overlook in their
prayer life. The course will also address how the will of God is the overriding
value of believer’s prayer life. [Involves 45 minute lecture/30 minute prayer
time]

207 – Prayer and Fasting for
the Purposes of Godliness This three
week course will consider the biblical teaching for fasting, how fasting when
properly done deepens spiritual maturity. [Involves two separate twenty-four
hour fasts]

208 – Standing in the Gap: The
Ministry of Intercessory Prayer This
one week course surveys the theological principles of intercessory prayer as
well as teaches practical ways to be involved in this kind of prayer. [1 hour
lecture/45 minute prayer time]

This two-week course will look deeply into the Psalms and an established pattern

This course considers the great men and women of faith through the first 1,000
years of the church. [Reading: Handouts]

II: Learning About the Great Lives of Faith
This course considers the great men and women of faith through the second
millennia of the church’s existence. [Readings: Handouts]

403 – Readings: “Prayer” by
Philip Yancey This five week course
will meet at a location TBA to discuss Yancey’s book on Prayer. Each session
will consider and discuss a section from the book. [Reading: “Prayer” by Philip
Yancey]

404 – The Life of George
Mueller George Mueller, the father
of the modern orphanage, attempted to prove the existence of God through his
prayer life and ONLY through his prayer life. This two week class will attempt
to discover the lessons of prayer through the example of Mueller. [Reading:
“Delighted by God” by Roger Steer]
